Located in the lush KwaZulu-Natal Midlands on the banks of the Lions River, The Gourmet Greek is our family-founded artisan dairy business, established in 2012 by Dimitri and Rosemary Dimitriades.
We bring the spirit of Greek culture, generous hospitality, and family warmth directly to South African dining tables.
Today, under the leadership of Managing Director Iakovos Dimitriades alongside our dedicated production, administrative, and pack-house teams, we have grown into a renowned producer of award-winning cheeses and traditional strained Greek yogurt.
At our core, we create high-quality, simple-ingredient dairy products crafted to bring people together.

THE FARM.
Our farm is the heart of our brand. It’s where our herd of Jersey cows grazes freely on pastures, producing the rich, creamy milk that forms the basis of many our artisan products.
We prioritize animal welfare and sustainable farming practices to ensure the highest quality dairy while caring for our land. This commitment to traditional farming methods is what gives our products their distinctive, authentic flavour.
OUR MILK FAQ
100% Pasture Fed | Our cows graze exclusively on open pastures in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands.
Premium Jersey Milk | Sourced primarily from Jersey cows, known for producing richer, creamier, and more nutrient-dense milk.
Antibiotic & Hormone Free | While sick cows receive veterinary care, their milk is discarded, and every batch is rigorously tested.
Calf Care | Calves transition safely from mother-bonding to individual health monitoring, moving to social, age-matched groups after 45–60 days.
