What You’ll Do:

• Customer Relationship Management: Service existing clients, build strong relationships, and resolve any customer queries professionally.
• Sales Generation: Achieve and exceed sales targets through strategic selling, cold calling, upselling, and identifying new business opportunities.
• Territory Management: Plan and execute structured daily call cycles to supermarkets, independent retailers, foodservice clients, and hospitality outlets.
• Market Analysis: Monitor competitor activity, analyze market trends, and provide feedback to management on product performance, range,  pricing, promotions, and customer preferences.
• Promotions & Campaigns: Launch and manage product promotions to drive brand visibility and increase product uptake.
• Reporting: Submit regular sales reports, customer feedback, and logs.

What We’re Looking For:

• 3–5 years in FMCG or perishable food sales, with a proven sales track record.
• Confident communicator and skilled negotiator.
• Self-motivated, professional, and business-savvy.
• Valid SA driver’s licence and your own reliable vehicle (PDP an advantage).
• Resides in Durban or Johannesburg.

• Receive and inspect all incoming goods from the cheesery, ensuring quality and quantity are accurate.
• Maintain real-time, accurate inventory records and stock levels.
• Organize and manage warehouse layout for optimal stock accessibility and space utilization.
• Order Fulfillment & Packing
• Coordinate the accurate picking, packing, and preparation of customer orders.
• Ensure all customer orders are fulfilled on time and meet packaging and presentation standards.
• Dispatch & Logistics Management
• Plan and execute daily dispatch schedules, optimizing delivery routes and resources.
• Arrange delivery drivers to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective deliveries.
• Monitor delivery timelines and handle any delays.
• Team Leadership & Staff Management
• Lead, train, and supervise a team of warehouse and dispatch staff.
• Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Assign daily tasks, monitor productivity, and conduct regular performance reviews.
• Process Improvement
• Analyze warehouse operations to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements.
• Introduce and maintain best practices to streamline workflows and reduce waste.
• Compliance & Safety
• Enforce health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
• Conduct regular inspections and ensure compliance with warehouse standards.

• Support day-to-day operations in our cheesery, from ingredient prep to final product.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the production process.

• Experience in a food production or kitchen environment preferred.
• A strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute as part of a supportive team.
• Reliable transport and willingness to work early mornings or shifts as needed.

• Collaborate with leadership to identify market trends and customer preferences relevant to artisanal dairy.
• Conduct small-scale formulation trials, sensory evaluations, and shelf-life testing.
• Ensure all new products meet safety, labelling, and regulatory standards.
• Manage pilot runs and provide detailed documentation of ingredients, processes, and outcomes.
• Work closely with production to scale recipes and integrate new products seamlessly into operations.

Quality Control:

• Oversee quality assurance across all stages of production, from raw milk intake to final packaging.
• Monitor adherence to HACCP, FSMS, and other relevant food safety protocols.
• Conduct routine quality inspections and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Investigate product issues or deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain meticulous records for audits, traceability, and compliance.

Team Collaboration:

• Train staff on new products and food safety best practices.
• Foster a culture of innovation and quality across the team.

• Experience in food product development and/or quality control (dairy preferred).
• Strong understanding of fermentation, dairy processing, and compliance standards.
• Creative yet detail-oriented mindset.
